About Land Meets Sea

Our meats

All our animals are grazed on our local permanent meadow grass pasture, our 100% outdoor grass-reared lamb and beef develops its great taste, maturing slowly at its own pace. We produce a highly sustainable, low intensity product with the highest of animal welfare standards, all within one mile of our farm shop. We have footpaths that run through our fields down to the rugged shores of Widemouth Bay. We believe being this close to the coast adds flavour to our meat. We are forward thinking modern farmers underpinned by traditional values. This is mirrored in our butchering which is carried out in a traditional fashion by our artisan butcher just 9.8 miles from the farm and shop giving us minimum food miles and allowing us to support local and keep quality to a premium and facilitate bespoke customer requirements.

Our projection for the future…

To become a local cooperative beyond our own produce promoting and retailing bespoke, artisan and ethical products from local producers. To this end we are proud to have already available: Sue Proudfoots Marhamchurch award winning cheese, Our Own bespoke Cornish Roasted Coffee Blend & Cornish Tea, Hogs Bottom’s award winning Jams and chutneys, Dave Fowlers Free range eggs, Honey from both Bude and Sutcombe produced by both Pete MacCabe and Ollie of Sutcombe, Handcrafted Cornish spirits and Meads along with local Cyder and Micro brewery beers. only to list a few.
